Description
THEA 254. PAGE TO STAGE. Students will travel to a major theatre venue such as New York City (Broadway and Off-Broadway shows); Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada (Shaw Festival); Staunton, VA (American Shakespeare Center); Stratford, Canada (Stratford Festival); or various other global cities that have large theatre centers. Students will read and be quizzed on selected plays prior to travel. While there, students will attend three to five plays, attend daily post-play discussion sessions and workshops, and keep a guided response journal. Upon their return, students will submit a four to five page paper as their final exam. Cost of the trip will vary depending on location. Travel course, offered periodically, one to three hours.
