PHYS 234. MODERN PHYSICS. An introduction to modern physics. Two essential areas will be covered: the special theory of relativity and the origins of quantum mechanics. Prerequisite: Physics 102; or Physics 122 and Mathematics 162. Fall semester, three hours.
