    Description

    MUSI 403. COMPOSITION. An elective course in music composition. This course discusses the fundamentals of music composition in terms of melody, harmony, form, texture and timbre with both an historical perspective (referencing masterpieces from the 12th through 21st centuries) and the opportunity to develop a personal compositional style. The bulk of the course is devoted to work on original student compositions. Prerequisite: Music 204. Semester course, two hours.
