MUSI 305. INSTRUMENTAL ARRANGING. This course provides hands-on instruction in the methods and techniques of making musical arrangements for various combinations of instruments. Topics include instruments families and characteristics, standard instrumental ensembles, and the rhythm section in pop, jazz, and contemporary arranging. Prerequisite: Music 203 or instructor permission. Two hours.
