MUSI 303. COUNTERPOINT. A study of the contrapuntal style and practices of Palestrina and other masters of the sixteenth century; compositions of modal counterpoint in two, three and four parts. Prerequisite: Music 203 or 204. Alternate years, semester course, one hour.
