Description

MECE 214. THERMODYNAMICS. The study of the fundamental principles and some applications of classical thermodynamics. Topics include properties of pure substances; heat, work, and mass transfer; first law of thermodynamics; second law of thermodynamics; entropy; gas power cycles; vapor power cycles; and refrigeration cycles. Prerequisite: Mathematics 162. Spring semester only, three hours.
