Description

INBS 417. GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAINS. An understanding of supply chains is essential to the global marketplace including social and cultural dimensions of business practices in global economies; global logistics; political and financial risks; and cross cultural supplier interactions. This course will examine the functions of global supply chains and how various functional organizations including Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources must interact with global supply chains in order to meet their business objectives. The course will also have a strong emphasis on current trends in global supply chains and includes input from experts currently working in the field. Prerequisite: International Business 205 Global Business Issues and Junior standing or with permission of the instructor or department chair. Semester course, three hours.
