HIST 379. AMERICAN INTELLECTUAL HISTORY. A study of American thought from the colonial era to the mid twentieth century. This course examines a variety of significant texts and key thinkers, seeking to understand them within their particular historical and cultural contexts. Alternate years, spring semester only, three hours.
