GOBL 150. CROSS-CULTURAL TRAINING FOR STUDY ABROAD. This course prepares students to thrive in cultures other than their own. It is intended for students who are about to study abroad. It is designed to help students understand the general character of the cross-cultural experience and to explore learning and coping strategies when outside one’s native cultural environment. Topics include cultural values and assumptions, intercultural communication, and cross-cultural problems and adjustment. One hour.
