Description

EXER 134. INTRODUCTION TO NUTRITION. An introduction to the importance of diet for present and future good health. Carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, and minerals, and their interactions will also be addressed. In addition, the course explores topics such as label-reading, popular diets, dietary analysis, and other issues of current interest in the field of nutrition, including sport and exercise nutrition, supplements, and life-cycle nutrition. Fall semester only, three hours.
