CMIN 322. PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE OF PREACHING AND TEACHING. In this practical laboratory course, designed to give students repeated practice in the skill of communicating the truths of Scripture, students will investigate and develop teaching and preaching skills. The course will review biblically-based and ministry related communication approaches to discern appropriate goals for biblical instruction, and work to understand how people learn in order to build a strong foundation in both the theory and practice of communication. Students will be offered numerous opportunities to sharpen their skills in teaching, sermon preparation and delivery. Prerequisite: Christian Ministries 258. Spring semester only, three hours.
