Description

BUSA 308. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW. This course examines the theory and practice of the law of patents, copyright, trademarks, trade secrets and other forms of intellectual property protections. The course explores the interrelationship between intellectual property law and the First Amendment and also explores issues raised by technological advances, recent changes in the law, and the internationalization of business. The course includes guest lectures by industry experts and is designed for business, entrepreneurship, engineering, science and pre-law students. Recommended preparation: Business 303 or Entrepreneurship 303. Spring semester only, three hours.
