Description

THEA 209. SOCIAL DANCING I. This course explores the history, rhythm, steps and styles of the Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Cha-Cha, Rumba and Swing. Students will learn the basic skills and information necessary to develop and continue one’s interest in ballroom dancing, in addition to learning the fundamentals of lead/follow technique, dance etiquette, cooperation with a partner, and the ability to identify and distinguish music for each dance. One hour.
