STAT 132. STATISTICAL METHODS II. The course builds on the material form Statistical Methods I and covers techniques for creating effective predictive models. Topics include simple regression models, multiple regression models, model building, model analysis, time series and forecasting, and experimental design. Students will learn the basics of statistical software and begin to understand some concepts behind machine learning. Prerequisite: Statistics 131 or Psychology 201 and permission of instructor. Spring Semester only, three hours.
