SEDU 210. MATHEMATICS FOR EXCEPTIONAL LEARNERS. This advanced course will provide students with alternative tactics for providing instruction in mathematics for students with disabilities or at risk for disabilities in a multi-tiered system of support. Content will cover research concerning mathematics instruction as well as instructional design and delivery, counting, symbol identification and place value, basic facts, operations, problem-solving, fractions and decimals, percent and ratio, telling time, money, measurement, geometry, pre-algebra and algebra, as well as study skills for mathematics. Prerequisites: Mathematics 151, 152, and Education 327. Fall semester, three hours.
