Description

320. NATURE OF MIND. A study of such issues as the mind-body problem, the relationship between mind and language, how the mind represents the world, the nature of consciousness, the analogy between mind and computer, science versus folk psychology in describing and explaining the mind, and the nature of mental states such as beliefs, desires, and purposes. Prerequisite: Psychology 101. Alternate Spring semesters, three hours.
