MNGT 547. ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR AND HUMAN RESOURCES This course provides a two-fold approach for managers and leaders in today’s business environment to bring value to those that they lead, direct and interact with in their daily work lives. The first part of this course takes a managerial approach to human resources examining legal guidelines & compliance, recruiting & retention strategies, labor relations and other specialized topics. The second part of the course will analyze how individuals and groups act and behave in an organizational context. Topics centering on motivation, communication & productivity will be discussed in a seminar fashion in context of the changing model of how work is done. Semester course, three hours.
