Description

411. DESIGN OF MACHINE ELEMENTS. The design of mechanical elements found in machines: springs, bearings, shafts, clutches, brakes, drives and lubrication. Practical design problems incorporating computer-aided design techniques, optimal design techniques and engineering economics. Prerequisites: Mechanical Engineering 312 and 314. Fall semester only, four hours.
