Description
MATH 115. THE HISTORY OF MATHEMATICS. This course provides college-level experience in mathematics and its history within the liberal arts tradition. Students will learn about the development in various cultures of several significant mathematical topics. They will be in a position to recognize the impact of some mathematical discoveries on the course of history, including in the arts and technology . They will be also able to recognize the critical importance of the application of some mathematical techniques in the contemporary world. Three Credits.
