			HIST 272.  20TH CENTURY RUSSIA: THE RISE AND FALL OF THE SOVIET UNION.  A study of the social, economic, and political institutions of Russia from the late tsarist period through the revolutionary era of 1905-17 and the rise and fall of the Soviet Union. Spring semester only, three hours.
