HIST 212. MODERN EUROPE. An examination of European states and the nature of European identity from 1789 to the present, focusing on political, economic, and social revolutions; the impact of the global wars of the twentieth century; and the tensions surrounding European integration from 1945 onward. Semester course, three hours.
