GOBL 300. INTERNATIONAL MANNERS AND MORES. This course equips students to recognize and appreciate cultural differences, their origins, and how they manifest in a variety of contexts. By exploring other customs and ways of thinking, this course prepares students to engage respectfully and effectively on the international stage. Of special value for students of any major who plan to work, study, and/or travel abroad, yet the principles studied and skills gained apply just as readily to interacting with any community or institution with a particular way of doing things. Offered irregularly, three hours.
