Description
FREN 305. TOPICS IN FRENCH AND FRANCOPHONE STUDIES. Students hone skills of description, narration, and evaluation through the observation and discussion of various cultural elements of the French-speaking world. Different topics will be studied in different semesters and may include gastronomy, fashion, sports, music, places (such as Paris), or major cultural figures. This course fulfills the Speaking Intensive (SI) requirement for the French major and may be repeated for credit provided the topic is different. Taught in French. Prerequisite: French 202 or placement exam. Offered periodically, three hours.
