FREN 202. INTERMEDIATE FRENCH II. The second of a two-semester intermediate sequence that hones interpersonal communication skills (speaking, listening, writing, reading). Students continue to develop greater facility with paragraph-length discourse in speaking and writing; this includes review and reinforcement of essential grammatical concepts. Students seek wisdom by interacting with cultural productions (e.g. film, music, literature) from the French-speaking world, while also acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary for successful cross-cultural communication. Taught in French. Prerequisite: French 201 or placement exam. Three hours.
