Description

EXER 308. TACTICAL STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING. This course introduces the knowledge and practical skills necessary to work in the field of Tactical Strength and Conditioning. Students will learn about specific physiological demands of the tactical athlete, including Paramedics, EMT’s, Military Personnel, Firefighters, Law Enforcement Officers, and other first responders. Additionally, students will gain an understanding of how to communicate and program exercise effectively for these athletes. This course will provide an introduction to tactical athlete performance. The knowledge and practical experience in this course serve as foundational components in the field of Tactical Strength and Conditioning. Prerequisites: Exercise Science 230 and 307. Spring semester, two hours.
