Description

EXER 254. NUTRITION IN SPORTS AND EXERCISE. This course will detail the effects of nutrition and how it applies to an athlete/sport. Course topics will include metabolism of nutrients, nutrient utilization during exercise, and nutrient needs for specific athletes and/or sports. Students can expect to participate in lectures, athlete/sports analysis, and class projects. Prerequisite: Exercise Science 101 or 134. Fall semester, three hours.
