Description
EXER 221. PERSONAL TRAINING. This course will introduce students to the profession of personal training. Students will develop skills in exercise technique, including teaching approaches involving free-weight and machine exercises, cardiovascular activities, flexibility, and plyometrics. Program designs will include the healthy adult as well as for adults presenting unique challenges to exercise. Students will design and implement a program for an assigned client, whom they will train throughout the second half of the semester. Prerequisite: Exercise Science 101. Alternate years, Spring semester only, three hours.
