Description

ENGR 412. MODERN CONTROL THEORY. Analysis and design of feedback control systems using modern control modeling and design techniques. Topics include state space modeling of mechanical and electrical systems, design of state-space controllers and observers, Kalman filtering, and an introduction to advanced topics such as robust control, optimal control (LGR/LQG), and others. Includes MATLAB/Simulink simulations and hands-on projects. Prerequisite: Engineering 411. Spring semester only, three hours.
