Description

ELEE 431. COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS I. Analysis and design of digital and analog communication systems. An investigation of the techniques for improving system performance in transmitting voice, video, and data, over both noisy wired and wireless channels. A variety of techniques are investigated, including modulation, channel coding, equalization, and detection. Students are required to simulate the design using MATLAB. Matlab/Simulink simulations. Prerequisite: Electrical Engineering 221. Fall semester only, three hours.
