BIOL 406. PLANT PHYSIOLOGY. A study of the processes that contribute to the development, growth, and reproduction of plants. This course will focus on plant physiological processes from the molecular to whole-plant scales. Topics to be covered include plant structure and function, control of growth and development, plant-water relations, photosynthesis, plant respiration, plant nutrition, stress physiology, response to various environmental conditions, and plant communication and behavior. Prerequisites: Biology 101, 102, 233, and 234. Alternate years, spring semester, four hours.
