Description
BIOL 210. INTRODUCTION TO APICULTURE. This introductory course will offer students the opportunity to learn about the amazing world of honeybees. Bee biology, Principles of beekeeping, bee diseases, and bee ecology will all be discussed. Students will also have the unique opportunity to see our bees at work at our on-campus apiary. A single and a two-hour time block will allow for lecture and hands-on time in the bee yard. Prerequisites: Biology 101 and 102. Alternate years, spring semester, three hours.
